Garden Club

The Cherry Point Garden Club is one of the most laid back groups to belong to. To what other group do you wear your grungiest clothes and spend 1 1/2 minutes on your hair before you run out the door? We have a wonderful group of women who participate and choose to come back year after year! (Proof that we must be having fun!)

Everyone is aware of the fact that we will never know everything about gardening... and it's much easier on our egos to learn from others' gardening mistakes, than to make our own!! So we gather together each month and draw upon each other's knowledge and "grow" our own experiences.

We would love to see some new faces in our membership and share our friendship with you. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at the Hancock Lodge (down by the base marina). Social time is from 9:00 - 9:30 am and the function runs from 9:30 to approximately 11:30. We occasionally meet for trips and often partake in a "hands-on" project as part of the learning process.

Membership dues are $10/year. Please leave a message at the OWC office at 466-9066 if you are interested in joining.

The Garden Club meets in August to prepare a list of programs for the coming year, and the functions are held from September through May. May is the actual turnover luncheon for the new Board Members. Again, if you are interested in joining our group or being on the Board please contact us. Thank you and Happy Gardening!
